Genesis of the forum

At the first European Apologetics Network conference, the vision of the EAN was expanded into the European Leadership Forum.  In 2003, Ravi Zacharias and Don Carson were the plenary speakers at the inaugural European Leadership Forum. The Forum served as an umbrella organization for 5 Networks (one of which was the European Apologetics Network) which provided individualized training and mentoring in a variety of areas.  Again the overall effect of this meeting was startling.  Nick Nedelchev, the President of the European Evangelical Alliance, wrote after this event:”The European Leadership Forum in 2003 was a wonderful success and great blessing to European evangelical leaders. The European Evangelical Alliance and Hope for Europe support the European Leadership Forum and stand behind it. We believe that the Forum is going to play a key role for Europe and help church leaders and para-church leaders to work better together and develop their projects for the future of Europe.”

The rippling effects of the Forum’s biblically grounded teaching, small group mentoring, and access to key teachers and speakers gave many Christian leaders from across Europe an amazing experience.  As the Chairman of the board of the Ukranian IFES movement explained,

“The Forum is extremely important for the strategic development of the Kingdom of our Lord Jesus.  It was extremely important time of study, training, encouragement, fellowship and vision.  It provided a lot of practical ideas for the apologists in our country.”

The Forum’s original vision to be a bridge between the needs of European leaders and the best teachers and mentors who could help them was, by the grace of God, startlingly successful.
