The Vision and Strategy of the European Leadership Forum is a direct response to Europe’s need. In May 2001, a group of leading European apologists met to address Europe’s spiritual need. They were convinced that to be faithful in modern Europe they needed to follow the Apostle Paul’s example.In the first century when the apostle Paul came to a new city, he did apologetics. As a result of these apologetics, he won converts to the faith, discipled new believers and then established churches. Similarly, this modern group of apologists were convinced that to see a new generation won to Christ in Europe, there needed to be a new generation of European apologists who could stand in today’s marketplace of ideas in the way that Paul did in his generation. They desired to train apologists who would testify to the truth of the gospel with wisdom, versatility and courage in their efforts to persuade their contemporaries.
